Credits and plans¶
Arena bills training and platform usage through training credits and subscription plans tied to your organization. One user can belong to multiple organizations; credits and limits apply to the current organization (the one selected in the profile menu).
Training credits¶
Credits are consumed when training jobs run. Burn rate depends on the resource class and how long the job runs (see per-job lines when you expand a day on Usage).
Balance: remaining credits for the org. Shown in the profile dropdown and on Usage for Managers.
Monthly allowance: paid plans refresh credits each billing period (see plan table below). Free accounts receive an initial pool (110 credits on the Free plan by default).
Top-ups: Managers can buy extra credits on Billing and members without changing plan tier.
Rough guide from in-app copy: 110 credits ≈ 20 hours of training on typical classes; 500 ≈ 90 hours; 2000 ≈ 360 hours. Your actual burn depends on resource class and job length.
When credits are low, turn on Low credit alerts on Profile management.
Plans¶
Self-serve plans are managed under Billing and members. Only Managers can change plan, payment method, members, or buy credits.

On the Free plan, Manage members is disabled (single seat). Upgrading unlocks invites.
Free accounts see Upgrade your plan in the sidebar; it opens Billing and members with the change-plan flow.
Upgrading or downgrading¶
Upgrade (profile menu → Billing and members → Change plan): pick a tier, enter payment details (card or other methods shown at checkout), and confirm. The upgrade applies immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the rest of the current billing cycle; the next full charge is on your regular renewal date.
Downgrade: schedule a lower tier from the same Change plan flow. The change takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep current-plan limits until then. Downgrades do not refund the unused portion of the period. Before downgrading, check that your storage, deployment slots, and member count will fit the lower plan.
When credits run out¶
If you hit your credit limit, new experiments may be saved as drafts but not scheduled until you top up, upgrade, or the next billing cycle refreshes your allowance (paid plans). Managers see the balance on Usage and in the profile menu bars.
Monthly allowances reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused credits from the previous period do not roll over.

On Billing and members, open Need more training credits? and click Buy now for credit packs:

The modal also supports a custom credit amount. After checkout you return to Arena and the balance updates.
